Khalid Cement Industries Complex (KCIC) has successfully implemented the next generation Epicor enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution in all its divisions.
The new system would guarantee a comprehensive and timely information flow that supports the process of decision making. “The system employs the latest technologies that improve the performance of management and customer services,” said Basil Daniells, regional vice president at Epicor, in a press conference.
He said: “The new system pushes information to mobile devices, which helps in keeping business on the run all the time.”
Nabil M al-Kaluti, general manager, KCIC, said that the new system implements visibility, transparency and control. “Further, it makes timely information available to support production operations and adjust them in accordance with the actual demands of the market,” he added. Epicor ERP is currently implemented in KCIC finance division, human resources, production management, maintenance and customer relation management division.
“The implementation of an effective ERP solution will ensure that all areas of the organisation are able to function optimally,” pointed out Kamal Abuhuzeimah, general manger for corporate governance and Epicor project manger for KCIC. “We are proud to announce that as a team, KCIC has achieved another milestone,” he said.
Al-Kaluti pointed out that training staff to implement the new system demanded hard efforts but it was essential for a better business functioning in the future.
“The up-to-the minute data generated by Epicor ERP from all of KCIC’s remote locations is essential for strategic planning because it enables management to identify problem areas and then find ways to resolve them immediately,” said Mohamed Islam, KCIC’s IT manger.
